'Gamify' your Weight Loss for better Golf Endurance

So I was in Broome, WA doing what felt like a never-ending beach-walk when I discovered this.

1 kid in the pusher, the other in a back-pack-type thingy ...

Pushing a pusher on sand, even hard sand, into a strong head wind so the pusher acts like a sail ...

Not fun.

And I LIKE exercise ...


Anyway, the kids were getting grumpy.

There was a whole lot of "...are we there yet ...?" and "...when are we going to get there ..."

How do you answer that for the 15th time ...?


The official Broome guide said the walk was 5km from bus drop-off back to Cable Beach.

One of those walks where you can see your destination the whole time ...

WAAAAY off in the distance ...

And it barely looks like its getting any closer, ever.

Not unlike having a Weight Loss Goal.

When it can feel frustratingly slow ...

And all you can do is just keep putting one foot in front of the other ...

Or is it ...?


Now, its fair to say I'm not the most tech-savvy person ...

But after the 25th whiney version of "...when are we going to get there ..."

I pulled out my iPhone thinking I could check Google Maps or something ...

Just to see where we were in the 5km wind swept beach marathon ...

And what did I find ...?


THE IPHONE HAS A FULL STEP & DISTANCE WALKED COUNTER ...!

So now I had an answer to "...when are we going to get there ..." !!!


More importantly ...

For your Weight Loss Goal this means you can EASILY track your total steps each day ...

'Gamification'.

Turn the process it into a game ...!!

Because it can seem like a LOOONG way off in the distance.

But tracking things this easily gives you a focus point ...

That magic 10,000 steps per day number = 400 - 500 Calories burned per day...!!

(And I have seen clients with seated jobs and seated transport unknowingly doing as little as 300 steps per day ...!!!)

Not too mention how much better you will feel on the back-nine during your Saturday Comp ...

10,000 steps = about 8kms.

Do that more often ...

Gamify it on your iPhone...

And Weight Loss and a round of golf become a breeze ...
